Café Calle is a community café providing a welcoming space for local families and youth. The café offers opportunities for young people to gather, connect with community members, and access affordable food options. Youth can participate in community events and activities that foster neighborhood connections and cultural celebration. The space serves as a safe meeting place and cultural hub.

Lore Leimert is a bookstore and cultural third space in the heart of Leimert Park that celebrates Black literature, art, and culture. The space provides access to diverse books while hosting author events, book clubs, and community programming.

Let’s Go To College CA is a student-led virtual community platform powered by SoCal CAN that provides free college resources, financial aid support, and navigation services to help students achieve postsecondary success. The platform offers comprehensive support including the LA College Comeback Campaign, which helps students who paused their education re-enroll in college, as well as free 1:1 virtual advising for college applications, FAFSA/CADAA completion, and navigating college life. Through its digital hub, Let’s Go connects students to resources on paying for college, college success strategies, mental health support, career planning, and high school to college transition guidance. The program eliminates barriers to college access by meeting students where they are—online and free of charge—with bilingual, culturally responsive support that centers student voices and lived experiences.

Mercado La Paloma is a community marketplace that serves as a cultural and entrepreneurial hub for local families and youth. The space offers opportunities for young people to engage with small business owners, learn about entrepreneurship, and experience diverse cultural traditions through food and arts. Youth can participate in community events, workshops, and performances that celebrate Latino culture and foster community connections. The mercado provides a safe, vibrant gathering space that supports youth development through cultural engagement and economic literacy.

The Natural History Museum offers educational programs, exhibits, and hands-on activities that inspire youth to explore science, nature, and cultural history. Young people can participate in youth programs, summer camps, family days, and school field trips that encourage curiosity and scientific thinking. The museum features interactive exhibits on dinosaurs, gems and minerals, mammals, insects, and Los Angeles history that engage learners of all ages. Youth programs emphasize STEM education, environmental stewardship, and critical thinking through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.

The Salvation Army Siemon Family Youth & Community Center offers after-school youth development services. They provide a licensed daycare center, chapel, and youth center. They offer tutoring in math, reading, and writing: computer education, instruction in visual arts and dance; and sports, including basketball and soccer leagues. They have a library, computer lab, classrooms, gyms, fitness center, and art studio.

South LA Cafe is a community-centered cafe within the Natural History Museum that provides affordable, healthy meals while serving as a gathering place for local families and youth.
