– Mission to provide programs that empower women and their families to reach their full potential in a supportive, nurturing environment through education, building self-esteem, and strengthening community relationships. Through our inter-generational literacy activities, parenting and ESL courses, family advocacy, health education services, and access to a variety of community resources, we empower women to become agents of change for their children, their families, themselves, and the community around them. USC Village
Mixed-use development at USC serves as a vibrant hub for students, faculty, and the public. A variety of shops, restaurants, and services are featured. Provides a safe space for public to walk around, enjoy the scenery, and enjoy some food/services.
Avalon Carver Community Center
Avalon Carver Community Center is dedicated to strengthening families and developing a strong sense of community through education, outreach, and empowerment. The center provides a full array of services that care for the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of individuals and families, with programming designed to promote economic self-sufficiency. Youth benefit from educational programs, community activities, and a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and development. The center is working towards a new campus expansion to extend its reach and resources for the community.

California African American Museum
The California African American Museum celebrates African American art, history, and culture through exhibitions, education programs, and community events. Youth can participate in educational workshops, guided tours, art classes, and cultural programs that explore African American heritage and creative expression. The museum offers school field trip programs and family days that engage young people with stories of resilience, innovation, and cultural contributions.
Art + Practice
Art + Practice is a free contemporary art museum and community center founded by artist Mark Bradford that combines art exhibitions with direct support services for foster youth. The organization runs an Education Program in collaboration with Nest Global, providing early childhood education, and Foster Youth Programs in partnership with First Place for Youth, offering resources and support for young people transitioning out of the foster care system. Youth can engage with contemporary art through free exhibitions, workshops, and public programs designed to foster curiosity and creative expression. The space serves as a welcoming cultural hub that bridges art, education, and social services to support youth development and community connection.
California Science Center
The California Science Center is a learning facility offering interactive exhibits and educational programs that inspire youth curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Young people can explore hands-on exhibits covering topics from ecosystems to space exploration, including the Space Shuttle Endeavour. The center provides school field trip programs, summer camps, and family workshops designed to engage youth in scientific discovery and critical thinking.
