Focused on housing rights, Basta centers themselves on providng housing resources to prevent families from being evicted from their home. They also host “know your rights” sessions for community members across LA County to be able to learn how they can best utilize their rights as tenants.

The Lancaster Community Center hosts city-run and partner youth programs including arts and crafts, recreation, after-school clubs, and seasonal camps. Programs emphasize skill-building, creativity, and safe social interaction. Youth can participate in workshops, enrichment activities, and community events. Offerings change throughout the year.

A nature preserve where youth can explore desert ecology, native plant and animal life, outdoor learning.
Optimist Youth & Family
Provides community-based mental health services and foster family/adoption support. Offers individual and group therapy for children struggling with emotional or behavioral issues in the AV.

We offer a holistic and creative program that provides the community with opportunities for healing and personal growth. Our diverse classes include art therapy, music therapy, garden therapy, and animal therapy—each designed to introduce new methods for stress relief and well-being. Participants can engage in a variety of activities such as drum classes, theater, art workshops, and cooking sessions.
