Palmdale Sheriff’s Youth Activity League

Palmdale YAL offers after-school sports, arts, tutoring, and leadership activities in partnership with community organizations. Youth engage in positive recreation, mentoring, and educational field trips. Programs promote teamwork, confidence, and healthy relationships with caring adults. Activities change seasonally and emphasize safety and engagement.

Options For Youth – Lancaster

Options For Youth is a tuition-free public charter school offering flexible high-school education, career exploration, and workforce readiness. Students receive individualized learning plans, academic support, and access to CTE pathways. The program supports college readiness and alternative education models. Ideal for youth needing non-traditional schedules.

Youth With A Purpose- The Center

Youth With a Purpose provides after-school activities, mentorship, leadership development, and life-skills workshops. The program focuses on empowering youth through positive relationships, creative expression, and personal growth. Youth are encouraged to explore interests and build confidence in a supportive environment. Community events and group sessions are central to programming.

Lancaster Community Center – Youth Programs

The Lancaster Community Center hosts city-run and partner youth programs including arts and crafts, recreation, after-school clubs, and seasonal camps. Programs emphasize skill-building, creativity, and safe social interaction. Youth can participate in workshops, enrichment activities, and community events. Offerings change throughout the year.

Family Resource Center – Palmdale (All 4 Kids)

The Family Resource Center connects youth and families to educational enrichment, mentoring, and youth development resources. While focused on family support, they actively link youth to after-school, leadership, and academic programs. Staff provide guidance, referrals, and advocacy. Services strengthen family engagement and youth success.

AVBGC Teen Tech Center

The Teen Tech Center provides youth with access to technology, coding, digital media, and STEM-focused enrichment. Teens work with mentors on creative and technical projects while exploring career pathways in technology. The center promotes collaboration, innovation, and digital literacy. Activities typically occur after school.

Asian Youth Center

Has multiple programs for youth in our community. Including the Level Up Next Generation (L.U.N.G.) program. LUNG is a FREE 6 – 8 month course for ages 14 – 24. Paid Internship! Learn about life skills, peer mediation, conflict resolution, post-secondary education, and job readiness! These skills will make an exceptional resumé!

Key components of the program include: paid internship, resume building, setting boundaries, budgeting, college majors support, workplace adequate, comfortless solution, high school / ged enrollment
