Project SOAR
Project SOAR is a SoCAL CAN program that offers free college and career advising program serving youth and families living in HACLA public housing. The program provides embedded, place-based support with college applications, financial aid, academic planning, and career pathways—meeting residents where they live to eliminate barriers to access. SOAR serves students in grades 9-12 as well as current community college students, adult learners, and anyone interested in vocational training, GED completion, or certificate programs. The program has no minimum GPA or attendance requirements and supports participants throughout their entire postsecondary journey, regardless of citizenship status or education level.
